There are 1.5 million orphans under the age of 17 in Nepal because of disease and past civil unrest
A special collaborative project has been formed by the District 7510 Rotary Clubs/Rotaract and Interact Clubs and the District 3290 Rotary Clubs, Rotaract Clubs of Patan, Kathmandu and Yala in Nepal.
Our Mission is to improve the quality of life for these orphaned children and their communities by providing education, healthcare and nutrition. These children are the future citizens and leaders of Nepal. With our support, they will be able to lead their communities and county out of the darkness of oppression and into the light of freedom. Education is the transmission of civilization...
Our Goal for 2007-2008 is the sponsorship of 250 Nepal Orphans by individual Rotarians or by Rotary Clubs. Your generous donation of $50 will sponsor an orphan in Nepal for a full year. A Club donation of $250 or more will meet the criteria for the Presidential Citation for an International Service project. For donations and more information, please contact:
