Ambassadorial Scholarships

We will begin taking applications beginning early April 2010 for the full year Ambassadorial Scholarship for the 2011-2012 academic year. In 2010, our district will offer one full year scholarship. In addition, the Rotary Foundation is seeking applicants for Rotary World Peace Scholarships, a two-year master's level degree in international studies, peace studies and conflict resolution. Each district throughout the world can submit one qualified applicant to vie for one of the seventy scholarships to study at one of seven Rotary Centers for International Studies. The centers are located at Duke University, USA, International Christian University, Tokyo, Japan, Sciences Po, Paris, France, Universidad del Salvador, Buenos Aires, Argentina, University of Bradford, England, University of California, USA, and the University of Queensland, Australia.

The Club Presidents and Chairpersons of club scholarship committees, if applicable, are encouraged to start spreading the word now about the scholarships in an effort to find qualified candidates. Applications will be accepted up to June 1, 2010. Interviews will be held in early August, 2010, and the scholarship begins September of 2011.
