Rotary District 7510 supports 7 different New Generations programs including, EarlyAct, InterAct, Rotaract, Dictionary Project, Rotary Youth Leadership Awards, International Youth Exchange, Scouting, and Mentoring. These programs support and provide opportunities to students and youth to get involved in community services and participate to learn the skills that can help them become future leaders.
Young people also follow the Rotary motto of “Service above self” and also 4-way test and learn about the principles of ethics, service, and fellowship that Rotarians exemplify. Children are our future. Let’s guide them well and let them lead the way to future rotarians!
" How many New Generations projects does your Rotary Club sponsor? How can your club start EarlyAct or Interact? Do you want to adopt more school for Dictionary Project? ” Rotary District 7510 always love to hear from each club to contact us and would love Rotarians to join one of our committees or would like to learn how to help operate these valuable programs. We value the continuous support of these New Generations programs. Sharing tasks can be fun and your positive actions will speak louder than words.
Currently, the International Youth Exchange and Mentoring programs are operating well. The Rotary Youth Leadership Awards (RYLA) program could use more support. RYLA provides select high school students the opportunity to attend a weekend of leadership training with fun and educational activities. The Rotary Interact Service Club program is growing at the high school level, as well as, the Rotary Rotaract Service Club program at the college level. Our Rotary District sponsors an annual Rotary Interact Officers Leadership Training Workshop (LTW), and an annual Beach Sweep at Sandy Hook, both of which are run by Rotarian volunteers. Many Rotary Clubs sponsor the grade school level program named, Earlyact Service Club. These Rotary programs help us to demonstrate the value and commitment of working together to achieve our goals. Our Rotary District 7510 is currently seeking dedicated Rotarian volunteers for each of these important programs. The formation of committees would enhance their support. New ideas and suggestions are always welcome. If interested, or if you would like further information, please contact the Rotary District Youth Service Director, or the program chair person.
