Vocational Service
Vocational Service, The Second Avenue of Service, encourages Rotarians to serve others through their professions and to practice high ethical standards. Rotarians as business leaders share skills and expertise through their vocations and inspire others in the process.
Observed each October, Vocational Service Month, spotlights Rotary Club projects related to the avenue, offering an opportunity for clubs and districts to use their professional skills in service projects.
October is Vocational Service Month
From Vapi, India to Madison, NJ Rotarians Celebrate Vocational Service Month
Kick off each October by attending The State Vocational Assembly!
Vocational Service opportunities include: Bridging the Gap, Mentoring, Career Days, Classifications talks, Vocational Awards, Ethics programs, ( sponsor a High School “Ethics” essay contest), or reciting the 4-Way Test at meetings.
Please contact me or any committee chairs or members for assistance with a project.
* “The only unique feature Rotary has is Vocational Service. Everything else we do is repeated by every other recognized service organization.” RI President T A Warren (1945-46).
